Celebrate Mardi Gras in Lawerenceville, NJ

March 02, 2019 12:00 PM until March 02, 2019 03:00 PM

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, Café Du Pain Bakery invites you to take a trip to New Orleans with its creole fusions in the French Quarter and beyond. Journey with us to one of the most exciting places in the world without ever boarding a plane and celebrate Mardi Gras/Carnival, New Orleans and Caribbean style right here in Lawrenceville, NJ. No Passport needed!

Café Du Pain Bakery’s celebration will include French, Haitian, South American, and Spanish influences allowing you to experience Carnival and some delicious treats from around the world!

Revel in the Mardi Gras tradition, as one of the most celebrated events around the world, with food, music, dance and magical regalia.

In the weeks leading up to our Saturday Mardi Gras celebration, make sure to visit us here at the bakery for scrumptious treats, delightful baked goods, good & strong coffee, and the Mardi Gras/Carnival atmosphere. We're talking Croissants, Beignets, Haitian Kreyol Patties, King Cakes, Coffee and Chicory, and SO MUCH MORE! #nomnomnom

And what’s a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras without having the traditional ALL-hour snack...a Beignet and a Café au Lait? Well we thought the same thing so we are featuring Bert’s Beignets by the New Orleanian, himself, Chef Bert Dumas! Some may know him from Studio B Bakery and Bistro in Trenton, NJ, others as the "Beignet Guy" from the Capital City (Mill Hill's) Farmers market. All we know is that those Beignets are Delicious! We've got the Coffee and Chicory...Chef Bert's got the Beignets.

And we'd be remiss if we didn't honor the Kings and Queens (Princes and Princesses) with our very own version of King Cake! An absolute 'must try' on our list!

The Rhythm, the Sounds, The Spirit of Mardi Gras and Carnival like you've never experienced before.

So prepare your best Mardi Gras and/or Carnival costume and get ready to show them off at our Celebration because at 2 pm that day, the two (2) best costumes will be selected as winners and deemed Mardi Gras/Carnival King and Queen! And because it's considered uncouth to not acknowledge future royalty, we will also deem the Mardi Gras/Carnival Prince and Princess!

All this Fun and NO passport needed!

Come Enjoy the Show, the Goodies, the Coffee, the Beads, the Camaraderie...Come enjoy Café Du Pain Bakery.
