Welcome to our first stop (aka, our first blog post!).  We hope you brought your appetite as we’ll be sharing the delicious deeds on our customers’ top 5 favorite treats, from the traditional to innovative, each whipped up using the highest quality, intentionally sourced ingredients. 

And then we have the almighty popular croissant - a simple pastry and staple of any great bakery yet one of the most complex to create.  

It’s delectable goodies like these that make Cafe Du Pain Bakery so special.  That said, we recommend you come to experience it for yourself.

Number 1: Savory Tarts

Ready for something out of the ordinary? These delectable puff pastry creations are just that. Whether it’s tender spinach with a nutty flavor of gouda or a combination of smoky bacon and caramelized onions, these are snacks or light meals worth stepping outside the box for.


Number 2: Pâté Lacaye  ( Haitian Style Patties)

This savory pastry delight is perfect for any time of the day! Made with the flakiest puff pastry dough and super fresh ingredients:  With a choice of either creole seasoned beef, maori (cod fish), chicken or vegetables, we’ve got options that cater to your dietary needs.   As one of our most popular items, you’ll most likely find yourself returning to indulge in more.


Number 3: Bread Pudding

Not your ordinary bread pudding. We consider ours to be a form of art. We begin with artisanal bread or our finely crafted croissants along with a proprietary custard, rich with eggs and cream. You’ll experience subtle hints of coconut milk, rich, dark chocolate, mellow notes of banana and vanilla, which takes things to the Next Level. We have three options available, depending on which destination you’re feeling:  Caribbean Coconut (pictured above), California Walnut Banana (pictured above) and Cacao Chocolate.  We highly recommend you experience them all, you’ll be glad you did.

Number 4: Caribbean Coconut Cupcakes

Don’t fly to the Caribbean, savor it. From your couch that is. As light and airy as an island breeze, this dessert pairs real flakes of coconut with exotic hints of rum along with some rich, buttery flavor to take you away from your busy day!

Number 5: Frangipane

Sophisticated palate?  No problem! we’ve got you covered with our delicate frangipane tarts.  We start with finely milled almond flour and imported European butter which complements the seductive flavors of apricot, pear or pineapple.  In summary, this pastry is like a party that melts in the mouth.  A perfect combo with your tea or coffee.

And then we have the almighty popular croissant - a simple pastry and staple of any great bakery yet one of the most complex to create.  What does it take to master the art of making a croissant?  That’s a great question.  We’ve done so through our master baker’s skilled hands, as well as using the best quality sourced ingredients, and the most importantly, Love.  Our pain aux chocolat, almond and French butter croissants are prepared with imported European butter and non-gmo flour from Les Moulins de Soulanges, and chocolate from France and loving hands and attention.  We take great pride in viennoiserie, you must swing by and try one or all.
